FFS, why even suggest it? Why do they have to become some tool for the politically correct? Cant two grown men live together for 40+ years in perfect innocence?

So? Bart Simpson has been 11 for 23 years, what's their point? Imaginary characters in an imaginary world exist in imaginary situations?

Whilst I know slagging off the BBC is a popular activity here, they are only reporting a story and not responsible for the campaign for Bert and Ernie to get married.

Thankfully these two have died or they'd be the subject of a campaign too.

These are characters aimed at a pre-school audience I believe.

Activists suggesting a civil ceremony between two 'best friends' are presumably from this mental age range.

It's amazing just how much 'noise' the G&L lobby are able to make, it's completely disproportionate to the number of people of that persuasion. Attention-seeking tts.

Furthermore, why aren't Shelter campaigning that Oscar the Grouch has lived in a bin for god knows how long.

Beat me to it! Those two shared a double bed in their sitcom. That doesn't make it real.

The people making this suggestion are not in the slightest 'mental'. They are pushing an agenda, and the more outrageous the means, the more the publicity for their agenda.

I heard he has just been offered a million pound house in West Hampstead by the local council.
