They do something like this near here every year. As you drive out of Macclesfield the road is lined with evil undead scarecrows and it scares the piss out of me.

Looking at the link, there doesn't appear to be the obligatory pretend police speedtrap that seems to appear in every scarecrow festival.

A village near me has one every year, and one joyless tt always sets up a fake policeman complete with hairdryer outside his house.

Night or day, I always toot my horn in appreciation...
