bling bling engine

Surely you should be going for the ACT silicon hose kit, just to finish it off?
Would look something like this - http://photos.fotango.com/p/eba00409443f00000006.jpg

I remember seeing your car (must be) at last year's Growl. lovely colour and rear light conversion.
That engine bay is great - not bling, just beautifully clean and shiny. I think you're right to keep the hoses black, I would only go for the red hoses cos my car's red. Tell, you what though, some of the steel braided air intake hose would finish it off a treat
How did you get it like that? Did you do it yourself and what's the best stuff to use and, did you have to take a load of bits off the engine or can it be done in situ?

burriana500,
No special effort made. The car is relatively young and has only done about 15K miles.I stayed with the black silver look which I thought complemented the external look of the car.The ACT carbonfibre plenum and silicon hoses are offset by the Leven goodies and bling Mallory coil. There was little bit of spit and polish (Brasso) on swirl tanks etc and I did use a few squirts of AutoGlym engine cleaner.

LA,
Leven & ACT, who you will find advertising on these fine pages do all sorts of shiny stuff, from pedal sets to fuel caps.
I would think that most people usually start on the interior with the ally switch gear and pedals, then the easy engine stuff like oil filler caps and colour coded hoses.
Check out the websites... I know it's on here somewhere

Thanks to all for your positive comments.
Gerjo, brakes are fantastic and inspire huge confidence on the track.I recently did a airfield track day at Hullavington and was able to hit the anchors well after the marked braking points even when entering at some speed from a couple of long straights
