Took chim for drive today; at low revs in any gear it felt like it was struggling (really slow uptake with lumpiness; felt as though it was firing only on a few cylinders). At higher revs and speeds there were no probs.

Lifted bonnet and had a quick look-see; being a bit of a non-diyer I noticed what looked like a very small black pipe leading from the ditributor to the top of the air intake, the one on the air intake was broken will this cause this problem. If so, where do I get a replacement

Thanks Guys and Gals

That will be the vacuum advance tube. That will make all the difference if broken. You should be able to get a replacement for a couple of quid from any good motor factor.

Thanks Dave

First quote I got was £3.60 each for a small bit of rubber!! [mind u it was a main Rover dealer and they do need the money!!]

Noticed you have replaced your temp sensor [Lucas SNB802] pleased it works. Will this do for a '95 Chim?

Also anyone know the part number for the Bosch Coil and Ignition Amplifier?

Thanks

George
