I know this gets asked several times a year on here but the search is disabled at the min so...

Just had quote through from manning UK and its up about £100 this year, they have had to switch underwrighters which probabily did not help. Though they have been very good need to check round.

So who are people with?

Don't think I'm going with "one quote direct" only £21,506.18 !!!!!!!!!!!!! lol.

Strangely enough I've just had a similar letter from Mannings. "new underwriters, trying to get competitive quotes compared to last year" etc. I read on expecting the worse, and then the annual figure was quoted at only £12 more than last years £320 for 5k limited mileage.
I have noticed however they haven't mentioned the agreed £30k value so I'll be double checking that before renewing in September.
...... and then shopping around !

I've seen a thread recently with someone saying that Peter Taylor had good prices so could be worth a try. Would be interesting to see what they can do for a Griff.

Classic line were good for me,but like all insurance companies or brokers it varies from one person to another .... look at the ph insurance wiki for alternatives

classic line are good for me as well. mine as about £340 pa for 5000 miles. they are also helpful if you have a claim

I still have an issue with Classicline as they say that if you leave the car on the drive for more than a few minutes it isn't covered (if the car is garaged). Completely barking - ie wash the car and it needs to dry- come home and going out in a few mins it has to go in the garage then out again ... for that reason I won't use them. Other companies usually say its OK between 6am and 10pm or something.

Some insurance companies are strange, had a problem with AF where they said my car was not classed as garaged as it was in a locked, concrete and steel wearhouse!
To be honest I think it comes down to the rep on the phone who misunderstands policy wording.

peter taylor was cheapest for me, i was with classic line but peter taylor was £70 cheaper this year. £260 all in including breakdown cover. its my 1st year with them so i will see how i get on.
