Roadtrip spares
Discussion
Throttle cable - essential as they have a connection used only on these cars, about £20 or so from most service centres. Also, oil, anderson leads, tyre weld (just in case), gaffer tape, fuel can in case you get stuck on a remote road, zip ties (always handy), bug cleaner spray and a rough sponge for the windscreen.

Why did I know you'd suggest zip ties?
I've just got back from 2400 mile round trip in the Tamora via Rotterdam, Germany down to Lake Como and back up the Austria, Switzerland & Germany again. The Tamora performed really well a with no issues even up in the Alps there was no picking even when were running 98 octane as appose to the 102 octane which is regularly available in Euro
I took the following spares:
1x engine ecu(if you have one!)
1x pack of spare sensors water, oil etc
1x bag of fuses + relays & fuse/relay diagram lay out
1x Coil Pack
2x Spare Ignition leads
1x HT lead
2x Spare plugs
1x Spare set of keys + 1 spare battery for key fob
1x Throttle cable
1x 1 litre oil
1 H4 bulb Kit
1x selection of cable ties
Which was about it really a part from 3/8 drive socket set up2 13mm pair of mole grips gaffa tap,
But to be honest the Tam ran with out a glitch and that car has had its arse spanked over the holiday especially up the Stelvio Pass and lots of other mountain roads!
Anyway it’s worth taking those things that are TVR specific of an ecu is boarding on the extreme but it came with the car
The most important thing to do is make sure the car is in prime mechanical condition and that you have checked and rechecked the car. Only you know its idiosyncrasies focus on those. If you have had or going to have any major mechanical up grades or repairs make sure you've done a couple of hundred miles in it before you go and do another check on all those components for peace of mind.
Don’t do as a friend of mine did with his VXR 220 & have a race clutch put in a fortnight before he went then run it back to the house and not use until he went on hols. He was a couple of hours in to his euro holiday when the clutch failed. He ended up paying 990 euro for his lack of testing & prep and it turned out to be a dodgy clutch hydraulic slave cylinder.
Don't forget your hi-vis vests one each for u & your passegers
Warning triangle
Also if you are visiting Switzerland(the dullest country/people in the world) you'll need an 80 euro road fund licence even if you are visiting for an hour. Don't get caught with out one as its upto a 400 euro fine plus cost of road fund licence...Also same in Austria but thats only 7 euro per 7 days you can buy from most petrol stations in the relevent countries.
Have a great trip
