How do i know if my wet system in the kitchen is working correctly ? I know that it does work (ie get warm) but I do not know if this is because the boiler is pumping the water round the system or the actual unit it controling the system.

I have a Brog combi boiler (39c)
Honeywell wireless thermostat (this controls the heating)
JGPRT - E this is the u/h thermostat and is mains connected and connected to the u/h pump (I think)

My main question is, should the JG unit turn on the boiler if I want the U/H on only ? If not, whats the point of it ?

Should it control the U/H pump ? As I can crank up the temp and listen to the pump (boiler and U/H) and no noise comes from either.

Thoughts ?
Thanks

Maybe a daft question, but have you got a flow rate gauge on the manifold? That's how I know which zones are on and which are off with my system.

nothing so fancy...We only have the one area, about 20 m2 for the kitchen.
