If you cut the cross braces behind the grill down you can get head & shoulder in the nose to make working up in the bowels behind the headlamps feasible. Just leave stubs so that afterwards you can screw in some ally strips (whatever) to replace the removed sections & retain the structural integrity they provided.

It's much easier than having to pull the wheel off then mess with access panels... in the end IMHO.

Darren, when I converted my headlights a la Lupo, I cut an access panel in each inner wheel arch, makes access easy peasy.

Each one approx 8" X 6" cut square. I saved the section cut out and replaced it with a bead of sealent around the edges and retained them with a couple of small flat plates with a couple of self tapers.

Was thinking of upgrading mine at one time - but was a bit concerned that the wiring and electrics may be comprimised with more watts etc.

Problem is you don`t know if the bulb is positioned in the right place and the clips...Im working blind ...god knows why TVR did not make it easier ,changing a bulb should just be simple..

Doesnt your car have access panels in wheel arch ? must admit i not needed to change a headlight but a sidelight was easy enough
