offside rear is about 2 inches lower than nearside. Original dampers not koni. I have some questions and would appreciate comments.
I think it is probably the damper is this likely.
Assuming the rear dampers needs replacing and I use the car as a daily driver with no track days. What dampers can anyone recomended.
What else would be worth changing on the rear set up.
If I change the dampers all round what should I replace on the front set up.
Thanks for the help

Andy the rear shocks don't control the ride height, just the rate that the rear wheel bounces up and down. However, it could be that one shock has lost all of it's oil and is therefore able to compress down to its minimum length. You will see signs of leakage on the shock if this has happened and I would recommend a new standard Sachs shock from somewhere like Berlyn Services for only £53 inc. Very easy to fit yourself, just one bolt at the bottom and one at the top (though its hidden by all the underseal gunk in the wheel arch)
The rear ride height is controlled by a large eccentric bolt on the rear trailing arm as shown here It could be that maybe one of these has loosened
hence your lopsidedness
If you want to replace the front struts at the same time they are around £130 each. I did front and rear on the S2 this spring after 140,000 miles on the originals. It made a heck of an improvement to what I thought was already a nice handling car
