Very odd temp gauge

Hi All

I'm having some strange stuff happening to my temperature gauge, when the car is stationary and idling the gauge works fine (I think) but once you start to accelerate the gauge reading drops at the same rate the rev counter goes up!! When cruising at constant revs the gauge returns to normal and so on, I have no idea why this might happen...anyone out there have a suggestion??

bad earth if you know how to take the dash off test the earth or put a new earth on the clock

Fixed it...A wire from the temp sender was coming lose so moving when accelerating. Only thing is what a pig to put back on as it was hidden behind the distributor so top hose off, distributor cap off, long nosed pliers and an amount of swearing and it finally went back on. The re fill and bleed the cooling system and hey presto one working temp gauge, not really sure it’ll stay on as does seem very lose. TVR’s you got to love them .
