Juicers, how good are they/which one is best VFM?
Discussion
right, my diet is crap. the only way i'll ever manage 5 a day is if the reclassify ketchup and maoams.
i do want to try to eat more fruit/veg but i've always had a real problem with food texture (yes, i know). if i bought a juicer, is it possible to get pulp free juice from orange, lemon, tomato, etc?
been looking at the philips HR1861. anyone got one or can suggest a more effective one for the money?

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you throw away the pulp? Part of the goodness comes from the pulp which makes up your stool ie keeping your bowels running well.
I'm not a big fruit fan as it's messy and buying pre-cut/peeled fruit is stupid. So I set aside a few minutes an evening and just get messy by the sink in the kitchen putting up with orange juice running down my forearms etc.

yeah you bin the pulp. that's the bit i can't stand drinking tho. what do you do, hand juice them? i'd have thought that would take bloody ages to get a single glass wouldn't it?I'm not a big fruit fan as it's messy and buying pre-cut/peeled fruit is stupid. I have a Magimix Le Duo lying about. It is very good. But I subsequently replaced my food processor with a Magimix 4200 that has all the same bits, so I don't need it. I wouldn't want any money for it, but if you are "Oop North" it won't be economical to collect/deliver/post it.
it is a juicer or a blender?i'm in dorset, don't know if that's near you though.
