We have a normal goldfish, and 2 small Orandas, and one of the Orandas seems to be going into one of the plants and staying there for some reason? We have had the 2 Orandas about 1 week. Could it be that it is pregnant, or something different?

Thanks

Few questions:

How many litres is the tank?

How long has the tank been set up?

What are your current readings for Ammonia, NitrIte and NitrAte?

As above.

Does she look puffy all over?

Most egg laying fish tend to look normal, and not pregnant as they carry eggs throughout their adult lives. They don't get pregnant and give birth like livebearers.

It's also very uncommon for goldfish to spawn in an average tank as most tank conditions (don't take this personally) are never even close to suitable condidtions for them to spawn.
It does seem like she may be in there for a reason, but could she be flashing? Are there any rocks or ornaments in the tank? Does she look irritated?
