Hi Peeps..Ive been staring at this car now for a couple of days and think it might be worth a look over..Not sure what it would need for an MOT but there must be somewhere local to him i can take it to so they can have a look..I know it needs the front brakes done..Is there anything i should look out for other than the outriggers and a tap with a spanner along the chassis to listen for any "clunk" as adam puts it..Could be my first V8..Then i will have to sell mine..Hopefully some nice person who wants a wedgestar car..if they have been following my story..Yes its been a basket case but i also have had quite a lot of the issues sorted..There are some that still need sorting but it drives..Cheers..Ziga

Stop p155ing about and get it bought, man.

76K is nothing to an RV8. Worst case, you need a few feet of pipe and some 2mm plate welding on, takes a leisurely weekend - well a day if the sills etc. are stripped off first.

Dont buy the first one you see mark, your new lover usually finds you when it comes to wedges.

Is there not one for sale somewhere with a bit of history and a current MOT.

No doubt your car knowlege and Wedgenostic skills improved ten fold during your ownership of your current car but.........

Do you really want to repeat it.....

Be patient, everyone knows you are on the lookout for a V8, a good one will come along sooner than you think.

In fairness to the seller, I'll add.

This car could be fine, but........

Jeff, look how many times we see people on here who searched the entire world, bought what they thought was the best wedge possible and STILL had problems with it. You may as well buy on colour as on any other basis.

Mark

Have heart mate, the correct one will come along!
The new owner of the car you were looking at has just posted up on the TVRCC wedge forum. So at least it's gone to a person who wants the car not just to make a profit!

Andy

P. S. Now posting on this forum!
