Best turntable for PC LP transfer

My wife has quite a few LP's and singles she'd like to convert to MP3 - but we haven't a turntable.
There seems to be quite a choice for USB turntables that state they can do the job, but which to get..
Does anyone know anything about these to point me in the right direction? I could also hook it up to my Pioneer VSX-920-K AV Receiver, if it has the connection options available.

ETA - I know the title states 'best', but I don't mean kit that costs thousands, perhaps I should have wrote 'best value'
