I've just had my headlamps upgraded from the original surrounds courtesy of Sportmotive. The original ones were coming loose as well as one side being Cooper Green and the other side Starmist Green, so it has certainly made it look a lot better. I've also changed the indicators from yellow surrounds to clear.

I like that. Like it better than the 'Ceberised' ones. Wonder if there's anyone further south-east who could do that...

It was £650 + VAT or if you're somewhat better than I am with doing work like this you can buy the kit painted in body colour for £410 and fit it yourself.

I had mine done at the Powers Bodyshop, Northampton 18 ago. Similar price when you take into account a small bonnet repair and front end respray. it was a nightmare matching the Venitian Blue colour though. Really pleased with the result, makes the car look more modern IMHO.

I completly disagree on that one ,the lupo lights are a subtle mod giving exellent visibility..What are those like !they are positioned firther back and alot smaller plus the perspex..Have you tested them down a dark country road..?

Your coversion is aesthetically pleasing to the eye but the most important thing is visability !how is i down a dark country road ? To me its like a cheap E Type copy

laugh only joking

I do like the Lupo conersion ,brings the car forward a good ten years but subtle and visibility is exellent.
When its affordable for me its going to be on list..Just a few pics ,not my car but just a idea what it will look like..

The lights are at least as good as they were before, probably because the new units/new reflectors.

Hi all,

I mean absolutely no offence to anybody as mods are, after all, utterly personal. However, IMHO I much prefer the perspex covers, they seem to blend in much better and they suit the cars a lot more than the Lupo ones. Maybe because they were an actual factory spec last of the line addition? The covers don't shout 'i've been modded' but the Lupo ones do - they look nothing like standard...

Lupo lights vomit

Sorry if you have Lupo lights, like I said its completely a personal thing!
