Sloppy change

Hello chaps, just thought I'd see if anybody else has sorted a sloppy gear lever?

It felt nice and tight when I bought the car but several thousand miles later its getting a bit porridge like.

Anybody know if there is a bush or bit of leakage I can replace to tighten things up a bit?

The gear change should be very direct and with a Man sized 'Click' (or is it a clunk?) into each gear. The gear lever is bolted directly to the gear change shaft on the box - there are no bushes or bearings that can wear. Lift up the gear lever gaiter and you should be able to get to the bolts that secure the lever.

Replaced these two bushes, one of mine was a bit worse for wear!

Did you take any pictures of where these go mate? My change isn't that great at the moment, it can be a bit tricky to get in gear sometimes. Cheers!

I didn't but if you take the gear lever gaiter up you can see the lever goes through the 2 bushes with a nut underneath
