I have the fancy for a TAG watch. Its £925 at the Goldsmith (Sure its just gone up by £100 since last week [:!]) here.

However I have found the same watch here which is £230 cheaper. I can also get it in the USA inc tax and VAT for £625 here

Just wondering if you guys have any experience getting watches on line

Tag price rise is Sept I understand, so should not cost more just yet- but be quick if you want to avoid. Often a discrepancy between Goldsmith's web & shop prices, but they won't discount much below a grand anyway.

Find DomH on here who has much good form on finding Tag's for people at decent discounts. Far better than the web.

Don't forget the customs duty which I think is 15% and 20% VAT on top, I doubt that will get through customs without getting pulled.

DomH has contacted me direct with a good price. However I don't know him. Can anyone point me to some happy customers on PH please

Me. smile

Pretty sure a search would bring up a few. Johno is another user who was happy with Dom's services.

Dom owns this - http://www.hackettwatches.com/

I've bought a TAG Heuer Link Calibre S and an Omega Planet Ocean through Dom H ... He is a top bloke and a pleasure to deal with. There are many members on here who have bought pieces through him, ranging from £300 to £30K+! smile

Dom's a great guy and a pleasure to do business with. Utterly trustworthy and I was buying another watch in the UK he'd be the first to know.

Some lovely looking watches on DomH's Site.

I will be looking for something for the misses later in the year, not quite in the same price bracket as most of the stuff on his site (up to about £500-600) anyone had any experiance with him for items of that value?

Yep, Dom just sorted my Dad out with an awesome deal on a brand new Tag Grand Carerra Calibre 17, faultless service according to the old man and he's a fussy one at the best of times!

At a mid point with Dominic just now on a deal for something shiny. Yet to meet him but seems very helpful and a well informed fella so far.

I contacted him off the back of recommendations on here.
