Specifically, the salty kind. Had a nice surprise today when one of my vessel managers came back from a Norway trip - he knows my love of liquorice, and he bought this for me over there...

It's very strong liquorice, most people don't seem to like it! Should last a while.

It is absolutely awful - the Norges go mad for it though - have it in loads of different flavours - including cactus...

Everyone makes the mistake of munching a liquorice all sort, thinking it is a normal, edible sweet before realising their mistake.

Definitely an acquired taste. Used to buy it as a kid (I grew up in Germany not far from the border with Holland, and the Dutch are well known for this kind of liquorice). Have loved it ever since!

I live just outside Oslo. Our ice cream man keeps trying to try liquorice ice cream. I've reported him to the police for crimes against taste.
