I have a vehicle which was recently repaired and sprayed. The repair area is good but the monkeys who did it left a few painty finger prints in a couple of places which I did not notice until today. As these are likely not water based paint marks is it going to be harder to remove them? I was planninng to use some paint thinner dabbed on a rag but have a feeling this may not work. Any tips appreciated.

Thinners will be the answer, but be careful on or near soft plastics and other delicate surfaces (even mature paint).

If you destroy the paint trying to rectify it, you will be paying to fix it after as you will not be able to show their original error.

Take it back to them. Show them the issue they caused, they will have a go and if they screw it up, it is their problem to fix it to your satisfaction at their cost.

As above-take it back!! Clay bars remove overspray so that may be safer?
