For your own sanity, get off eBay now. You have a problem.

I was after one for the van.

This has bluetooth which I need and a damn big screen!

Worth a punt at £55 though!

I bought a recon'd Garmin for ~£40 almost a year ago and it has been great. Has loads of features and hasn't put a foot wrong.

I bought a garmin for £35 from ebay. its very small and doesn't have a touch screen but otherwise its an excellent bit of kit. I was going to modify it to fit on my motorcycle.

Go for a decent brand... Personally I wouldn't buy anything other than TomTom... My ex had this Binatone thing given to her for her birthday... It told me to turn right off the M6... Seriously.

Edit: the ... is so over used above, but I kinda like it...

Mine isn't small tongue out and does have touch screen. It also came fully loaded with European maps (the reason I bought it when on my euro trip last year) and will also show all the places of interest - garages, food places, cinema, museums etc and all that. Highly recomended. (Now I sound like I'm trying to sell them lol)

There's no mention in the listing what maps it takes - does it use free ones such as google maps?

Therein lies the rub.

For all the people having a good chat about Garmin kit - the OP's ebay item is not from garmin. It's a noname chinese thing.

A friend of mine has a cheap flip out screen DVD player with satnav included from eBay, it looks a bit cheap and nasty but works fine, has lane assist, european maps and took him to Italy and back with no issues.

I have to admit its an old phone nokia 5800 but i used nokia maps as my sat nav and it was the best thing ever it was free and got me everywhere i wanted to go, yet my partner downloaded one on his iphone for about £26 which was aload of rubbish never got us anywhere so frustrating, so shows you dont always need to go and buy these expensive sat navs to get anywhere.
