Following on from Zigs post this is a serious post as my car needs to go in the next few weeks ..... or I keep it (in addition to the Griff soon to arrive ) - but probably not good for the marriage...

I know it's not the best time of year to sell and my car is appealing to a more niche market in terms of budget (with or wothout reg. plate) for a (non SE /SEAC) Wedge but I can't imagine ebay being a good place for it and I am thinking how much lower to price and will it make a difference?

Thanks in advance for replies. Paul.

I will not post a link but car is in profile.

Daft question maybe but what would you want to pay for it? Taking in to account the current financial climate etc. That's what I always ask myself when I sell a TVR.

This is a really hard subject to come to any conclusion with..I feel like others that these cars are really under priced but then affordable to other TVR enthuiasts who will probably spend more money on them regardless of how much has already been spent..Thats what is kinda putting me off about mine..It could cost up to £15,000 to get it to concourse condition and still be worth only £3-£3.5K..Where does it justify itself?..Is a silly grin really worth paying that much for..I dont know..Im starting to feel that the only person who will be grinning is the guy that buys it cheap..Catch 22 i do believe..Ziga

You're welcome Wyn - I'm just outside Thornbury - PM me for postcode and preferred ETA. Be nice to meet another serial TVR addict...

Whats it worth? what will someone pay?
Good question dont know, I think we had a chat at BBWF2011 as I am running 4.6 as well but RPI. It just depends if someone wants a sorted car from a running point of view.
I Bought my car about 6 years ago it was on ebay and PH and had not sold and then I had a look and bought, I have spent much to much on it since and its not being sold and will never be perfect, my choice I am happy, its a keeper like the KG which has been mine for 30 plus years.
What you want for it? the better half is in kitchen, so be quick. biggrin

I don't think there is a problem selling Wedges that are a bit 'special', and at a decent price.

Your car appears to match that description. smile

I have sold (and bought) them off ebay, and as long as you protect yourself with a sensible reserve, it simply means that the market place is enormous.
