Anyone had a new licence class added to their licence?

I requested a provsional D1, send both parts of my licence off.

They returned to me a new card with nothing on it, and a D1 provisional on my counterpart. If i go to take a test, do they not need to see a card with D1 on? I was half expecting either a green provisional D1 or some reference to it on the pink card, but there is nothing.

Is this normal, and is the entitlement being on the counterpart enough?

Yeah, this is normal, card (once you've passed) is for full categories, counterpart is for provisional and endorsements etc.

Totally normal - my paper has some on that my card doesn't (provisoinal).

Cheers guys. I assume when i pass, the card gets sent away again, for the d1 to be put on?

yup, and the paper one, for the d1 to be taken off
