Griffith Rear Roof Section

Hi all,

The stitching round the rear window on my griff has rotted as usual and gaffa tape is not the most attractive of cures.

I have been offered a 2nd hand Chimaera rear section (the fabric and window only, not the frame).

Will it fit the Griffith frame?

Not worth the agro of changing it, You can get a new rear window sewn in for around £90ish, to £100,

Look into your insurers. I managed to get mine replaced via the 'windscreen' cover, free of charge. Mine had become worn and my hand went through it when I was cleaning it!

Don't fit the chimp roof, it will reduce the performance of your Griff and will also make it less desirable.

Where can you get a new rear window? Would be a nice finishing touch on my restoration, we're remaking the rear section anyway.

Most car trimmers have the clear rear windows in stock & they just cut it to fit, They also have it in different thicknesses for different cars & uses,
My Garages are in the Croydon in Surrey area so cant help you as your to far away.
