Inspired by a misread thread title, what car does your Nana drive?

My gran doesn't drive anymore, but a few years ago she had a pristine gold Nissan Cherry with furry beige seat covers!

What about your Gramps?

Neither have ever held a licence.

Grandad 1 passed away in 1987 having owned a variety of fine used Volvos
Grandad 2 passed away around four years ago. He had a Metro

Both kept there cars in fine condition.

1994 Automatic Mini. Comments that it "handles like it's on rails"... She likes using the horn too.

My Nan drives a 2004 Celica. She's had it from new and its done about 10,000 miles going to and from the shops throughout its entire life time!

Before that she had an XR4i (again from new). Not bad for over 70

Its not even like she's a car person. She never gets above 2000 rpm and she really does drive like a Nanna!

The car she had before the XR4i was a Ford Capri John Player Special (much before my time btw).

I've got a cool Nan smile

My grandfather passed away some years ago, but he used to have quite an interesting selection of cars, including an E-Type amongst various other Jags (the details of which I don't know being too young to recall at the time), a Mk1 Scirocco Storm from new (the rare 4-speed manual before they changed to a 5-speed), a Mk2 Scirocco and a Mk1 Golf for my grandmother, and a Mercedes 190E.

Likewise my grandfather on my dad's side had an E-Type from new at one point which I believe was later purchased by one Engelbert Humperdink, and a Mk2 Scirocco.

We've always had an interesting selection of motors in the family.

The last car my grandma owned was a NSU Prinz 4. White with red leather. It was a very cool little car smokin

I bloody hate the word nanna/nana/nan when referring to your grandmother! Lol.

My grandma drives a 1 series BMW coupe (has had 3 series for ever, but feels the 3 is now too big for her). New BMW for her every 3 years.

Her husband, my grandpa has had a new 7 (BMW, not caterham hehe) every 3 years, but now has a 5 as the new 7 doesn't fit in the garage.

My granny has a 1 series BMW cabriolet and had a 530d m-sport touring for 5 years and a merc SL500 (just sold the last 2)

Her husband died 4 years ago. He used to drive a gorgeous Daimler.

All kept in pretty good nick for most of their lives.

Both now dead. One didn't ever drive, the other drove an ambulance during the war and then never drove again afterwards.
