Staying in MB for the first time this year. We usually stay at Houx/ Houx Annexe.

We are arriving about lunchtime or early afternoon on Thursday, Any tips on the best places to plant the tent ? from those more experienced at this Site ?

Cheers

If you're in a small group etc then you might be able to squeeze in somewhere but it will be packed by Thursday if you're in a bigger group. If there's no space try the Maison Blanche annexe at the end on the right - we always get to MB about 3 - 4-m on the Thursday and camp there. Go through the gateway and there's loads of space and it's just as close to the loos / showers and more importantly the track.

Hope to see you down there - look out for the Red Nobles and the Skyline

A lot of people get to MB early in the week (Monday / Tuesday) to snap up the best areas. If it's looking a bit grim, head on down towards the bottom of the campsite - look out for the Popemobile - and you might find a small area there. If not nip into the annexe behind. Its a bit rowdy and very noisy as it's only a few feet from the circuit but after a night of mayhem from 'burnout alley' on the road outside and the firework nutters in Camping Bleu you won't be able to hear anything anyway

Thanks for the tips, I shall keep an eye out for your cars. Will be taking my Type R now as brothers new car wasnt delivered in time. Next to the track sounds great and as you say if you worry about noise you dont go to le mans. Glad we are near another burn out road. Had the Houx roundabout last year. Getting really excited now. If you spot us pop over for a

Head for the BeerMountain team, always a slight to be savoured!! www.beermountain.com

We were in MB last year, bogs are a bit crap (excuse the pun!!). But theres a cracking bank to sit-on and watch the race.

I look forward to seeing the bogs then !!! always been pretty good where we have camped before. We are on the 0700ish ferry dover to calais. Thinking about it lunch arrival is a bit ambitious. Is this bank more towards the Porsche curves area? or the start finish area. from memery I thought MB was fairly flat.

Yes, MB is flat, but there's a 6foot bank that follows the circuit on the left-hand side.

Keep an eye out for us turning up in our double decker. Last year we could see the track from the top deck. Not long now.......
