Pauline,

Try tearing down the straight next to Hanningfield Resevoir on a summer's evening! It litterally turns the front of the car black, and kind of furry!!

I would like to think that they have good sense for being attracted to yellow......

But after they hit the bonnet at errr...well quite a few miles an hour..... they wouldn't have any senses left at all........

Edited to add that I have just clicked on V8's thread and I don't believe it!!!
A survey to see how many bugs there are on your number plate......good grief!!!!
Sorry...didn't realise this had come up before....don't have time to go on General Gassing much these days.

That takes me back - many years ago (too many ) it used to be known as "Hanningfield Pod" as it was great for standing quarters etc

Have they resurfaced it yet as it did used to be a bit bumpy at high speed!!

Hi Pauline, you missed my "RSPB" thread then - could have done a useful experiment with that plate by the look of it as well

Its an evil plot. Kamakazi bugs that have a special last meal of black evo stick, then hurl themselves to oblivion on your lovely shiny car.

Those custard filled ones are just peachy when they hit your visor when you're out on the bike too. Messy !!!

No, I don't reckon it's been resurfaced for years....it's in a terrible state now. Probably left that way be the council purely to stop people racing down there and killing the wildlife!!
