That's ridiculous. Around the block twice and hand it back. Whether or not a new one would even manage 6k miles is another question. smile

scratchchin

Fine if you do 6k a year but add Xp/mile onto the cost and this probably gets expensive

10k per annum, and yes it covers everything. There are a few conditions to make sure that you qualify for the insurance,

No Bans etc for Previous 5 years or DD
No more than 6 points,
Over 25 years of age on 207
2 Years Previous NCB

Its not a bad idea, it works well, esp when you consider it only works out about £8 a month more than some of the cars on the normal PCP. Depends on your circumstances though.

But it means driving a 207 for 3 years. They aren't a good product.

I doubt the kind of person that wants this kind of cheap fixed cost package particularly cares as long as it has 4 wheels and an engine....

True but I doubt Peugeot are targeting the offer at people such as ourselves (the PH type) and probably aiming towards people who just want a car for A to B and then C on the weekend rather than anything decent yes

Well i think they are pretty good. Had one as a hire care for a week. I quite liked it. They arn't exciting, but as A to B cars go, theres nothing wrong with them. In fact the one i had, had lots of options.

I was looking at this deal myself, op. But then i figured i'd probably just get a 306 HDI. Better car imo at a fraction of the cost.

JD Power surveys and results, coupled with owners feedback for the last 5 years must be wrong then...

I had one as a hire car last weekend. Really bland and not fun in the way some small cars are.
About as fun as my fridge .

That price is based on the worst one too, the 1.4 S 8v, which I wouldnt touch with a bargepole! It would be unfair to sell one imo!

SMALL PRINT!

What happens at the end of a Just Add Fuel contract?

With the Just Add Fuel Passport plan you can:

Pay the amount we anticipate your car will be worth (the anticipated future value) and own your car outright
Hand your car back with nothing further to pay (subject to mileage and condition)
Part exchange your car for a brand new one

So its a lease car then. I know the advert places it very small on the screen.

You don't 'just add fuel', you'll also need matches.

Yup, it's effectively a lease car.

I've just taken a Fiesta on lease - the 1.6 TDCi in Titanium spec which means it has everything from auto aircon and cruise control to even voice activated everything. Cost is £186 per month for three years at 15,000 miles per year. Yes that's plus VAT, but I get that back anyway. Road tax for the first year is included, £35 per year after that. Insurance with my clean licence and full no claims is around £350.

When you compare the two deals, the Pug one seems expensive - especially when the Fiesta has a stronger diesel engine, can do 65mpg and has a chassis that CAN entertain on a B-Road!

After three years I make a phone call, and they come and get it. Then I browse their catagalogue and order something new smile
