Hi Peeps..I really do have scensoredt luck..After spending 4 hours bent up like a contorsionist under the bonnet yesterday i woke up this morning aching like a 98 year old instead of a 48 year old..Mind you the arthritis dont help..So this morning i was debating walking to the local shops..But i decided to anyway..Went into the hardware shop and found a couple of bolts with washers and nuts that were about 1/2" longer than the original ones..Got it in 3/4 of the way and now i cant do it up or undo it...banghead..Its now pi55ing down with rain so ive come indoors..Now im thinking why did i even bother?...The last resort is to order one of these as this is what is knackered..

And some of these as well..

And of course some new gaskets...But if all else fails i might be so tempted with a G of P and a box of SVs...I just cant believe im having all this greif of a poxy fcensoredg thermostat..I bet when its all done it will still overheat and will need the rad recored...Cheers..Ziga

Hiya Zig sorry to read about your pissa doing the thermostat housing my car has a viscous fan blade with a standard Granada Radiator no expansion bottle either like yours , touching wood when writing this but keeps at 165 on gauge even when stationary in traffic, is yours an electric fan because you have power steering perhaps revert back to radiator and viscous fan blade if not engine causing overheating. Did read somewhere though that if head gaskets have been replaced if not handed block some of the waterways good luck and stick with it

Cheers for that mate but i think grady might be right about the rad being blocked..I will only know when i finally get the housing back together..Which will be in the week now as the rear thermostat housing is out of stock and i dont want a secondhand one...Cheers..Ziga
