Anyone tried / heard about this?

I heard about it a few weeks back, and despite not being especially big on honey figured I'd give it a try when I saw it in Sainsbury's - went for the 15+ one.

All I can say is oh my goodness. It's absolutely divine. I've not used it with anything yet, just tried it on it's lonesome, but it's seriously seriously lovely stuff. I suspect there's a great deal of marketing gone on to peddle the anti-bacterial properties etc (I know it's used to treat wounds etc), and the higher the number the more antibac it is, but all that guff cast aside, it's a stunning flavour and texture.

I've bought it in the past, but to my tastebuds it does not warrant the cost. I think I even started a thread last year as I felt conned. I don't go for gimmicks with food, if it's not a taste sensation then I'm not interested.

Definitely agree it's overpriced at 11 quid odd a jar, but it's the best honey I've tasted by some margin. Again though, honey really isn't my thing so I don't sample it often, but compared to the Tesco Finest guff that's normally in the cupboard it's night and day.

IMO the flavor of manuka honey is a bit strong by itself. Better in a blend.

Yep.

But what is the 'antibaterial' thing about? Do you rub it on wounds or clean your bog with it? You don't want to eat it; it will kill all the L. bifidus bks special yoghurt you just ate!
