LS alternator wire help.

My alternator has 3 pins, but only one wire.

I took the alternator off about a month ago and thought I marked the pin, but cant find the mark.

Can anyone tell me which pin the wire goes to.

oops.... typo...its actually a 4 pin connector.....anyone?

is there any scratches on any of the pins at the moment, do some have more tarnish than the others, are some more discoloured,
does the plug fit on them all, maybe it will foul on the outter ones

could improve the odds a bit, 1 in 3 would be better than 1 in 4.

Just checked mine as well Grant - same as Grahams.

Checked an LS3 today.
Ignoring the screw terminal there is a connector with 4 pins the first being larger than the others.
The car has a thick brown and a thinner brown/yellow.
The thick brown goes to the large pin and the brown/yellow goes to the third pin.
