towing vehicle hire?

Need to get an 1800kg boat from one end of the country to the other but don't have a suitable car to tow it with.

Anyone know if it's possible to hire a land rover or similar for the task?

Also consider something like a Transit van - the RWD ones seem capable of hauling 2+ tons going by Ford's literature and it would also give you room for various bits & pieces you might want to carry.
