Only had this Chim for a few days now. Giving it a good clean, and I noticed this pair of green wires, behind the velcro'd cover over the passenger's shoulder, had been snipped (Appologies for the grainy phone-pic):

...any ideas what they're for, and why they'd be cut?

Maybe I should just solder them back up, and see what happens?!

Cheers,

Malc

Given that's a whole set of home made connections I'd suggest if all your electrics work then it may be powered aerial, cd changer or some other alarm system etc ...

Easy to chase the wires into the boot over the wheel arch. I took a whole bunch of rubbish alarm wiring out of my Griffith and then re-did it properly after it had had a tracker fitted before I owned it.

Looks like a pair of speaker cables to me.
They used to come in pairs of green and grey when buying additional speakers.

If it works don't try and fix it!

Why snip a wire that goes to a bullet connector? Any normal person would separate the bullet?

I would leave it alone if everything works

If everything is working I wouldn't mess.
They do look a lot like speaker cables.....Is the car fitted with rear speakers? Do they work? Are there any extra holes that look there could have been an extra speaker or two fitted?
