TVR Car parts seem to have a few in stock.

I attempted to replace mine once but I couldn't remove them. It was a
painful memory that I am doing my best to forget

I'm sure someone told me that grease makes the bearing swell up making it
difficult to remove. I got the hinge bolt out ok but the bush was stuck solid
in the hinge tube.

'FrenchTVR' sent me a drawing for the bush and I got them made but they wouldn't fit.
I think there maybe two different sizes. The hinge bolt on my 1985 350i is 12.7mm dia
(1/2 inch). They are made out of nylon or something similar, so they could be made on a home lathe.
I still have this drawing if you need it

My passenger side door seemed to be drooping a bit but when I gave it a good greasing via the nipple it seemed to come right - that might be all you need to do.

apparently there are two sizes, one in white the other in grey, TVR Carparts have the white ones, anyone know the difference on the measurements?

I know I have a sketch somewhere that I did from the doors on my Tasmin but I can't find it at the mo... I seem to think the early rods were 12mm diameter.
That grease nipple is pretty daft: apart from the fact that petroleum-based grease attacks nylon, you have to pump about a kilo of the stuff in before it fills the tube and starts to get past the bushes. If I was making new ones now I'd use a better engineering plastic.

I don't seem to have the grease fitting (unless the location is eluding me. Have it completely adjusted for sag plus 2 washers as spacers in there.
