Hello all

I recently purchased some anti roll bar drop links from ebay upon fitting i noticed that this happens, just watch the video that i made, watch the bottom of the pin in the bush when im bouncing the car is it normal for it to have movement ? or have i got dodgy ones, i'm noticing a knocking when going over bumps or rough road and its really annoying.

btw its an e36 coupe.

No, that shouldn't happen.

Shouldn't even have to ask if you know what you're doing !

Mr Singh, either buy original equipment drop links from BMW dealer or at the very minimum Lemforder ones form Euro cars parts, anything else will be marginal on quality and you will be buying again very soon.

The steering knock could be the lower shaft, but without checking the car is difficult to say for sure, take the car to a reputable independent and get it checked out.

ETA; there is a 'CRAZY25' discount code at Euro's for 25% off unitl end of the month.

Thanks for the heads up - just bought all four droplinks for mine (Lemforder) for under £60 delivered smile

Apparently I need a thin 16mm spanner for the balljoint on the front droplinks - any reason why I can't use an old 16mm spanner which has had a bench grinder applied to both sides?

Lemforders from Euros are around £20 each side, I brought cheap ones prior and 6 months later they were finished. Lemforder are OEM spec and supply BMW yes
So far the lemforders haven't had a peep in the 6 months i've been running them on my E30 (same parts though for this and the E36 in this regard) with 3 of those months of doing 90 miles a day.

upon removal of the droplinks the inserts simply fell out, ive fitted some new oem FAI ones and problem resolved nice and tight and the suspension responds better.

ps:- arranged a refund for these st ones so i will be posting these back in the FAI box lol.

Nope, works perfect.
