Aluminium gas welding flux

Now this isn't my thing at all, so don't flame me please. I was talking to a specialist in alloy bodywork who uses a gas welder, and apparently the EU law has changed and the new flux is no longer any use for gas welding. He is looking to find a supply of the older style flux. Anyone give me any leads on this?

Assuming he uses a tig welder there's no flux, just a welding rod, is that what you mean

I have gas welded Ally a long time ago and seem to remember using some kind of powder based brush on flux. I have no idea what it was though.
