V6 Elise and Exige

I heard today there's gonna be a V6 lotus released within the next year.....maybe just what the car needs?

I remember hearing about this a long time ago. IIRC, a magazine spotted a 111s test hack which had a V6 stuffed into it. It was apparently aurally quite distinctive and it only had a single exhaust on the passenger side.

I guess the clincher will be whether the blown 4-pot or the NA v6 has a better power-to-weight ratio.

yeah true, when i say "just what the car needs" I mean just what the car needs to make it even better by the way! dunno but itd be nice to get an engine in there with some more power through the range like the original K but more of it really! just reading autocar (april p21)and it mentions a v6 elise on its annual release timescale. so there must be somthing in it, hope its not too pricey mind!

its just a rumour - they saw a hack and reported it 2 years ago - theyve never updated the 'whats coming' page...no V6 for the Elise Im afraid...Im pretty doubtful about the factory supercharged Exige too - some dealers say its not happening, others say it is etc
