Left elbow "pain"
Discussion
I say 'pain' because it is not pain, just an unpleasent feeling in my left elbow but I wouldn't cry about it.
I get this 'pain' when ever I lift weights or do things like push ups. But not straight away, lets say I'm on my second set of dumbbell curls with my left. It'll start hurting then, I'll have a little break and then it will be okay for about 3mins.
Far from a sudden pain.
Anyone know of anything like this? And is it worth just wearing a tight elbow strap until it goes?

I used to have those sorts of joint niggles when I run.
This stuff stopped it, but you need to take it for about 3 months before you notice the difference.

Also worth noting when I work out using creatine I can go longer if not the whole workout without feeling the niggle. I have no idea why this happens but it does.
Or other things that may help?

As for that, are there any foods that contain glucosamine? This stuff stopped it, but you need to take it for about 3 months before you notice the difference.

Could be the onset of a tendonopathy (tendonitis, tendinosis etc).
And would this not be more painful? PSBuckshot said:

AFAIK, it can be an extract from mussels, or there are now ones sourced from plants.pacman1 said:

I believe that glucosamine is naturally found in your body, but the tablets are a concentrated form.
Not sure how much sea food or veggies you'd have to consume to get the same effect, probably tonnes!

Probably cheaper to get the pills as well....I believe that glucosamine is naturally found in your body, but the tablets are a concentrated form.

I'll have a look on the supplementstore website when I'm home as I have a few bob in my account from the protein I buy.

Usually arrives in a few days in letter box friendly packaging too.
Let us know how you get on.

Try resting it for 2 weeks and focus on lower body training - your lower body will benefit and you might notice some improvement in your elbow. Sometimes it's a case of working it too hard, especially if you are rapidly increasing training intensity and not resting it enough.
I'd be inclined to try and rest it for a couple of weeks and see if there's any improvement.

I've tried that, didn't really have an effect.I'd be inclined to try and rest it for a couple of weeks and see if there's any improvement.

Odd thing is about my 'pain' is that it doesn't happen everytime I workout so it's hard to tell what does and what doesn't work.

Sounds like tennis elbow (tendonitis) to me.
I had it a few years ago - tooks months to clear - needs rest.
tennis elbow is over the lateral epicondyle of the humerus and (as you will know) is more on the outside of the elbow if you face your palm so it's facing in the direction of the front of your body. a quick test for this is to clench your fist whilst holding your arm out and pointing the fist up and with your other hand try to pull your fist down whilst you try with your forearm muscles to stop it going down. or hold out your hand of painful arm and push down on the middle finger with your other hand and try to stop it being pushed down (Cozen's and modified cozen's tests)I had it a few years ago - tooks months to clear - needs rest.
