There appears to be a fault with your car.....

The sport button is not permanently on ? it looks like it might be depressed "off" ?

Just kidding, the car looks stunning. The quality and condition shine thru, belies its age really well, you should be proud

Thanks Giles.....

Regards the sport button, i have to admit to prefering the way the car acts under 'kick down' when not in sport mode (doesnt seem to over rev as much and seems to make the most of the torque band better)..... or maybe i'm just getting to old at my grand ol' 36 years of age?

Lovely. A future classic.

My dad had one of the very first 4.2 XJ6's in the north of England at the tail end of 1968....Always had a soft spot for these cars.

I just posted elsewhere re the profound perfection that is the profile arising from the side elevation of BMW's E38 7 series and indeed, it is a stunning silhouette.

However, the intended implication that it was the doyen of large saloon aspects has clearly been proven wrong.

I doubt a more truly beautiful, elegant shape will ever emerge from a mainstream, production platform.

Sublime.

Have you got heated seats? The switches for them look like blanks, which is odd as usually you get bigger Trac Off and Valet buttons instead.

Mines sat outside looking forlorn and disgracefully mucky.

How did you get the plastic chrome trim looking so shiny?
