I have just bought an electric fire which i dont plan on having on i only really wanted it for the look of it , since i have had cavity wall done i havent had my at the moment gas fire on for the last 3 years, but now im decorating i have the idea off having my fire placed inside a wall so it lays flat against the wall with the back base hid inside the chimney breast area, i want to put the fire on runners so if we ever have such a cold winter i should need it on i can pull it out and still make use off it, but can someone tell me that with the vent being at the top would this leave burn/heat marks against my wall paper when in use ???????

Smiler.

Should be ok, panel heaters are designed to be floor or wall mounted.

Can you post a pic or web link to the model you have?
