Hmmm... its not a decision taken lightly I can assure you and although its now irreversible, I'm not sure I am doing the right thing... there is another motor in the pipeline and I'll share that with you when I eventually get it and let you see...

I was hoping you wouldn’t get round to this until spring Kev!
I know it’s been over a year since you kindly took me on a run with Jaye up the snake, a lasting impression was made! One thing lead to another and I never managed to get the JZR finished and sold. It’s going into the paint shop next month with an eye to being ready to flog in spring.
Six months too late? That’ll teach me to procrastinate....
All the best, hopefully I can find another similar to yours when it’s my turn.

seriously, I'm disappointed about the response to my ad on PH, on the TVRCC site and in Auto-trader... many of you guys know my car, am I being too ambitious on the price? please be honest but be gentle

I don't know you or your car Kevin, but the engine bay shot in your ad looks exceedingly tidy. I think your difficulty stems mainly from the state of the market/economy. There are a lot of cheap Chimearas about too. Also, in my experienec selling cars & bikes privately, a good vehicle is sadly not worth a lot more than a tatty heap simply becuase everyone wants a cheap deal. All they will do is try to haggle your nice car down to the price of the heap they rejected yesterday!
One time I was selling a Suzuki trail bike. It was an exceptionally clean example of a type of bike which commonly gets pretty hard use & abuse. My price refelcted this. The guy came along and was saying "I can buy such-and-such a bike for £X, compared to yours". My reply was, "OK, go and buy that one then, but we both know its a pile of cr@p compared to mine". In the end he did buy mine after a series of £25 incremental offers!

Just seen your post. I've been away for a bit here and there. (Probably in the same sort of tin top that you are investing in. I'll not spoil the fun and spill the beans).
I know you've had it in the back of your mind for a while and I understand why.
Your car is well sorted and any buyer should be well pleased with their purchase. I know that it received a large number of very favourable comments at SCH11 regarding how sound it is.
Price is always difficult. With rare cars like these it's just a case of waiting for the right buyer to come along.
