Good evening, I have a mate who is relocating to Mexico and would like to give him a small amount of currency for his first beer. Only problem is everywhere I have looked to exchange the money as a minimu far in excess of my needs.

Anyone have any suggestions as my Google search for small amount of money exchanged brought up nothing, or of course if anyone has any lying around from a holiday and would be willing to sell to me please pm.

Thanks for taking the time to read and have a good week.

US Dollars should hit the spot nicely
They did when I was (off the beaten track) in Mexico

That sounds good at least I stand more of a post office carrying dollars and therefore likely to let me have a low value amount.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion.

Ask around friends and family, someone might have some stray $'s they want to offload

USD is accepted everywhere in Mexico ....

200 pesos is about 10 quid, so just give him 20$. Beer is about 50 pesos for a Dos Equis in most bars rising to 100 in the posh or cool places. Corona is usually more expensive in Mexico than in Tescos !!!

If the truth be known $'s are very welcome in mexico, from memory when we stopped on a cruise the locals actively encouraged it
