I use my 400se almost every weekend and sometimes even during the week when I get the time. The trouble is I don't actually go anywhere. I take the car out of the garage (of a flat that I rent out nearby), fill it with petrol and just blast it down a few local country roads. Do a bit of posing (that's what a TVR is all about) and back to the garage. This gives me immense satisfaction and is in actual fact very therapeutic. Each outing costs me about thirty pounds but hey, where else can you get such therapy for so little. So if things are getting a bit too much around the house or the Mrs. and the kids are doing your head in, try it and see. There is nothing like taking the TVR out for a blast. What a relief!!!

How strange but true that really is..I have suffered..(believe it or not)..From agoraphobia for over twenty years due to a horrendous car accident but since ive had mine even with all its troubles it has helped me to keep it under control..I used to hide away from the sun and only go out when it rained but that is something you just cant do in a wedge..Suns out..roof down..smile on face..So i agree there really is such a thing as TVR therapy..Thank you trevor..Ziga

So I'm not the only one who goes for 'pointless' (and expensive- it drinks super unleaded like it's going out of fashion!) blats around the countryside just for the sake of it laugh

I try to use mine to go to places I would be going anyway, such as visiting friends or relatives but never seem to be able to remember the direct route and wander off course. Perhaps a sat nav.- nah, never be able to hear it over the exhaust note and must keep my eyes on the road.

This is what TVR's are about - got my first one the month our first was born -
now got 5 kids and had 6 TVR's....

When things get a bit 'frantic' or stressy in the house SWMBO sometimes just looks at me and no words need to be said - just grab the keys and pop out for that 30 mile paper/pint of milk trip that has to be done....

As the OP says complete and unadulterated me time/therapy drivingsmile
