As the title really, changing insurance providers given the rip off renewal price (factor of two for worse cover) and wondering if I need to inform my mortgage company? Sure you do but can't find anything by a quick google or scan through the FAQ on the Santander website.

Mortgage is Alliance and Leicester (now Santander), new policy is with AXA.

No need to tell as they will automatically check on the insurance database. If you dont have a policy you would receive a letter from the bank informing you that you have broken the terms and conidition of your mortgage and you need to sort ASAP smile

my supplier of mortgage is the same as yours and required a phone call to say we were moving to a diffent insurer, (documented in the t&c's,with apparently a £25 fee) waived this time. when they found out it was a major player(churchill) they were happy and 300 pound a year saving is mine from £30 pm to £110 a year.
