Cerbera as a DD?... No thanks..

The Europa came top for me in terms of viability as a daily driver..

Torn between the Cerbera and the Lotus here, went for the Lotus just on the basis that it might be a little bit easier to live with. The Caterham would be tempting if we weren't talking about daily drivers but I don't think I'm that masochistic.

Would probably be 1000x better being used in that way than as a garage queen...

I've yet to see anything that screams "practical daily" bar the Range Rover.

Where's the Audi S/RS avants?

Lancer Evo estate? (With £10k change for servicing costs)

335d Touring with remap? (I've idea if this is even within the £25k budget)

Mk1 MX5 with £23,500 worth of upgrades?

Why does everyone assume that an estate or worse, an SUV is needed as a 'daily' for all situations? The back seats in my dailies have been used only once in 170,000 miles over the past 7 years (come to think of it, I'd have some sort of paper storage facility over a passenger seat in my company motor, too), the extra bulk is only going to pi55 me off in town, at motorway roadworks (ever tried to thread an X5 past a lorry down one of the gazillion Autobahn road works where theo uter lane is barely 2 m wide - not nice) or when pressing on a bit on a country road and for the one time a year that I need to transport something big I'm far better off renting a VW Transporter instead of fretting over my nice upholstery and roof liner when packing/unloading...

I'd have an estate again as since swapping back to a hatchback I've noticed the reduction in space. Notably more so as I have a dog to transport around too.

Daily to do what?

I think this could be fun, just weird choices, which really will reveal meaningless results. confused

Oh, I'm sure you will compile a little 'hit list' of things to sort over the next days/weeks... Gives a nice warm glow of satisfaction to mentally strike them off your list as you go, though, and when you are on top of things maintenance-wise it's actually not too hard to stay there - provided you use the car.

The less I drive, the more it tends to cost...

As in the first part, for what you need your daily driver to do. The whole point in this is to see what PHers want in a daily driver.

Because 7% of the PH population would have one over all the other options in this poll.

Oh aren't I just the typical PHer. I picked the most common choice in both threads.

Trouble is, what I want and what I need aren't always the same thing biggrin

Good point. But what I mean is, if you could have one daily driver, you had to buy it for approximately 25k (No less than 23k, No more than 27k) and these were the only cars in the world in that price range, which one would you choose?
