Ok I am not a comic fan but I love the movies. Over the last few years we have seen an increasing number of comic super hero films hit the screens. What I find interesting is that they all seem to be major gear heads. Lets looks at the evidence:

Ironman: Super cool underground garage populated with combination of supercars, classics and hotrods. Even his screen saver is a Black and Flamed 32 Ford roadster cloud9

Xmen: Again an underground garage with a mixture of supercars, classics as well as a number of great bikes

Batman: Lambo's, classic RR and let’s not forget the Tumbler

The Green Hornet: Ok at first it does belong to his dad, but after his death he gets the lot. He has one of the best car collections going as well as having Kato build him the Black Beauty

Kick Ass: Even the bad guy in this one has a hopped up Mustang

So to be a credible superhero do you have to be a gearhead?

Dangermouse?

I always assumed that was a modified E30 M3 cabriolet.

Superman as far as I can tell didn't have a car either.

Deadpool has a scooter...

I tend to prefer Antiheros.

Actually Super Gran had a massively pimped up beetle. Huge rear tyres, definately not a standard engine as there was a big hole in the back so you could see it. In dark blue or purple I think. Just had a quick trawl on google impages but to no avial, but I'm sure she did have one.

Doesn't need one as Superman. On the other hand, Clark Kent drove a Nash-Healey in the 1950s TV series:

Lentil woman walks everywhere, barefoot.

She set off from the commune three months ago and she's still on her way.
