113 on an A road. The "partnerships" have a picture of it so nothing to hide... Friend got caught on vascar at 118 mph on motorway, he asked if he could keep the video

I was pulled over at my car's max speed of 112mph. (Darned Japanese Restrictions) But the nice BiB said he didn't have a camera and thought I was doing around 96. Thanks BiB, there are some gud un's out there.

Vascar is the video evidence, the limit in both cases was 70

It's basically a stopwatch, odometer and calculator rolled into one. The results are merely displayed on video.

On the way back from Le mans a couple of years ago, while on a beautiful french three lane empty motorway, I got the clock pointing at a number starting with 2 for a few seconds.

Although, knowing my speedo calibaration, it was probably -10% of that.

My fastest was on the M1 at 142 mph indicated. However, it was early in December 1965, and just a couple of hours before the 70 limit was introduced. I was driving a Jag 3.8 Mk.2 overdrive with a 'D'-Type spec engine on Dunlop RS5 tyres.
Those were the days!

Took 15 miles for Mr Plod to catch up with me once, they had been flat out in their Vectra 2.5 about 6 or 7 mins. Clocked me on Vascar only after I'd slowed down. Oooops soory......

I celebrated the 60th anniversary of D-Day by reaching 180mph on a German Autobahn in my 'vette. Only just mind, then I had to press the middle pedal authoratively to slow down to "just" 110 so as not to run in to the car in front of me !

155 in my Datsun 240Z (not exactly standard), ran out of revs at that point 7,200 in fifth, on the limiter.

350 kph (a tad over 217 mph) on the Autostrada del Sol in a breathed-on P400 ... many, many moons ago.

Could see both fuel gauges moving!
