Saniflo Toilet issue
Discussion
PH Plumbers,
I had a Saniflo toilet unit fitted in February this year to an outside office and it has started to leak.
The run for the waste pipe is about 25meters on a downward incline of about 4m over that distance.
The maceration unit seems to be working fine (you can hear it whiring) however the waste pipe which connects to the top of the maceration unit pings off spraying the contents of the toilet everywhere!
I can only assume that the waste pipe is blocked, therefore as it tries to pump the waste down the pipe it meets resistance and pressure forces the waste pipe off the top of the unit.
Has anyone come across this problem before, does my diagnoses sound correct.
Note there has never been anything solid put down there other than some toilet paper !

The waste pipe/tube seems to just click into the top of the macerator. It honestly doesn't seem that well connected but I cant see any way of fixing it any better.
I've looked at the installation manual and can't see that the plumber who fitted it has done anything inadvisable.
The waste pipe does look very thin though (maybe 22mm diameter) but again this seems within the bounds of whats recommended.
If it is blocked....how do I unblock it? With normal size waste pipes you can call out the drain guys who have tools to clear the blockages, can they do the same with Saniflo waste systems?
....and no mice (of any colour) down the pan. This is an external office and the wife's banned !

This is the top of my sanislim:
I've added the metal hoseclips. It originally had a plastic clip on top of the unit holding the output pipe on.
If you use metal hose clips then don't over tighten them!
If yours doesn't have any kind of hoseclip holding it on that will be why it pops off.... Do check the pipe upstream is clear before clamping it down tight!
