Immobilised GTV

Hi, I have 2002 GTV that has immobilised itself and now has a key logo up on the dash. Does anyone know how I can get the car back into Start Mode since it is dead on my drive. Do I need a code for the key or what. Any advice would be appreciated, I am getting desperate. Thanks. I cannot be the only GTV owner who has had this problem !!

Disconnect the battery and leave off for 20 mins or so and then re-connect, this sometimes works.

1. New or fully charged healthy battery.
2. Unplug yellow code box (did you do this?) for 30secs.
3. Check wiring around the steering column, this is the immobilisor aerial.
4. Get a sparky out.
