Door won't open !

Ok so its good that I left the top off the car today as the door release button (97 5.0l) isn't responding.

I've taken the speaker out and checked all the connections (all wires have bullet joins as the wing mirror has been remover a few times) and all seems OK.

Any ideas on what to check next. I'd like to try a few more things before having to finally take the blessed wing mirror off again.

Listen carefully when you press the mirror button - is there a relay click from the centre (ish) of the dashboard? If there is, then the mirror switch works, and something else doesn't.

Every now and then, the multiplugs in the cubby behind the door get a bit tricky on me. Carefully lift up that bit of carpet by the seatbelt reel and have a furtle. One multiplug is the lock actuator, the other's the door opening actuator.

Absolutely no noise when button is pressed at all. It has failed on the odd occasion before now but always wored 2nd or 3rd attempt.

I didn't know about the multiplgs behing the seatbelt reel etc so I'll have a go at that tonight.
