Hey guys I apologise if these questions have been covered before!

Is it normal for a chim to get very hot in the corner of the foot well next to the clutch? As I have manages to melt part of my shoe on it without realising!

Second question is there are quick fix too stopping the roof leaking on the rear quarter ( sorry If that's not clear)

Thank you

Zach

IME Keep your left foot away from that corner if you dont want to melt it, or lift the carpet and add some insulation

Rear quarter roof probably just needs to be treated with Fabsil to make it waterproof, needs to be done every year or two.

With the heater turned to cold do you still get hot air coming through the vents.

The heater valve may need changing. My did, so I recently fitted a new one from Ebay ( all of £5 ) and it has transformed the cabin temp.

There is a recent thread on here re changing this

Check your engine bay heatshields by exhaust manifolds, if the reflective coating is burnt away 99% that's your problem. Same problem on mine, fitted new shields and now nice cool feet but no warm air on a fresh winters morning with the roof of! Can't have it both ways I guess smile Does require manifolds to be removed for a nice job thoughfrown

Another question do any of you guys have a carl baker alarm system fitted to your car? Mine does but when the alarm goes off there is no sound! Has any got any suggestions what the cause could be?

Check the sounder IIRC somewhere on the O/S front under or near the rad. Could have water in the connection.

Check that your clutch master cylinder cover is on and sealed, the amount of heat that comes through there when it is missing is remarkable.
